About Online Cyber Tools

What is Online Cyber Tools?
Online Cyber Tools is a curated collection of free, browser-first cyber utilities for developers, sysadmins, and security engineers. Every entry runs either entirely in your browser or behind a public API — no signup, no rate-card, no tracking pixels. Built on Symfony 7.4 (PHP 8.5) with a Vue 3 frontend and a remote-worker mesh for network-based jobs.
Design Principles
- Frontend-first. If an algorithm can run in the browser, it does. Your input never leaves the device.
- API on every page. Each web UI is a thin client over a documented REST endpoint. Curl/Postman the same as you click.
- Cyber Night HUD. Deep navy surfaces, cyan and lime accents, monospaced chrome. Readable, glare-resistant, intentional.
- No dark patterns. No paywalls, drip-funnels, "premium" tier teases, or signup walls in front of working modules.
- Open by default. Every entry exposes its inputs and outputs as data, never as a screenshot.
Who builds this
Online Cyber Tools is built and maintained by an independent operator (no VC, no acquihire pressure) focused on practical day-to-day utilities for people doing real cyber work. Source code, contribution guide, and roadmap are linked from the API docs.
How additions are evaluated
Every new entry added to the catalog has to answer three questions: (1) Is there a clear use case engineers run into often? (2) Can it run client-side without ballooning the bundle? (3) Does the output match an authoritative reference (RFC, NIST, ICANN, or a respected cross-check site)? Candidates that can't answer all three get rebuilt or rejected.
