Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 26, 2026
Overview
onlinecybertools.com provides browser-based and API-backed cybersecurity, networking, encoding, decoding, cryptography, and developer utilities. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the website and related public APIs.
We do not use Google Analytics. The analytics we use are Cloudflare traffic analytics generated from requests handled by Cloudflare and a self-hosted instance of Umami, a privacy-respecting analytics platform that runs on our own infrastructure and does not set cookies, fingerprint visitors, or track users across sites.
Information We Process
- Tool input and output: many tools run entirely in your browser. For those tools, the text or files you enter are not intentionally sent to our server.
- API-backed tool requests: some tools, such as network, DNS, WHOIS, proxy, SSL, and other server-side checks, must send the submitted host, URL, IP address, file, text, or other parameter to our server so the tool can work.
- Request data: our servers and Cloudflare may process IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, request method, response status, referrer, and related technical metadata.
- Security and rate-limit data: we may record abuse-prevention events, rate-limit counters, CAPTCHA outcomes, temporary bans, and related identifiers needed to protect the service.
- Contact messages: if you email us, we process your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond.
How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, debug, and improve the website and tools.
- Return results for API-backed tools and network checks.
- Protect the website, users, infrastructure, and third parties from abuse.
- Measure aggregate traffic, performance, and reliability through Cloudflare analytics and our self-hosted Umami instance.
- Respond to support, privacy, legal, or security messages.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Cloudflare
onlinecybertools.com uses Cloudflare for DNS, content delivery, traffic analytics, performance, and security. Cloudflare may process request metadata and may set strictly necessary security cookies when Cloudflare protection features require them. Cloudflare analytics help us understand traffic and performance without adding Google Analytics.
Self-hosted Umami Analytics
onlinecybertools.com runs its own instance of Umami on infrastructure we control. Umami helps us understand which tools and pages are used, so we can decide what to improve, what to keep, and what to retire. The data we collect through Umami is intentionally minimal:
- The page you visited and the referring page that sent you there.
- Your country, derived from your IP address. The full IP is never stored.
- Your browser, operating system, device type, and screen size, derived from the User-Agent header.
- A short-lived, daily-rotating salted hash that lets us count unique visitors within a day without identifying you across days or sites.
Umami does not set cookies, build advertising profiles, track you across other websites, or share data with third parties. We do not sell or rent any of this data. The underlying database lives on our own server alongside the rest of the site infrastructure.
CAPTCHA And Abuse Prevention
Some API-backed tools may require CAPTCHA or similar checks after heavy or suspicious use. If a CAPTCHA challenge is shown, the relevant provider may receive technical data needed to verify the challenge. We use this only for abuse prevention and service protection.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that help operate and secure the site, when needed to provide a tool you requested, when required by law, or when needed to investigate abuse, security incidents, or legal claims.
Retention
Browser-only tool data is not intentionally collected by our server. Server logs, Cloudflare logs, rate-limit records, security events, and API request metadata are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, abuse prevention, debugging, analytics, and legal compliance.
Your Choices And Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent where consent is used. You may also have the right to complain to a local data protection authority. To make a request, email [email protected].
International Processing
The website and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms and service-provider commitments for cross-border processing.
Children
onlinecybertools.com is intended for developers, administrators, security professionals, students, and other technical users. It is not directed to children under 13 or the equivalent minimum age in your location.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the website changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last-updated date.
